I had a small mix terrier in the 80's he was out in the yard playing running all day came in when he wanted to had some fleas that went away w flea shampoo ate cheap dry kibbles and never had skin issues never had stomach issues. Now we have a chihuahua and a small terrier both w bad digestive and skin issues they're indoors on prescription diets$$ medicated shampoos$$ vet bills$$!! Vets used to resolve issue in one visit now for some reason they never have an answer, try this & try that & come back next month$$!!

I was going to fold up an old quilt and put it on top of a square of memory foam from a mattress topper. And then clip her harness into the seatbelt. Hopefully this will work.

Sorry, but I'm with the others here who are looking for a solution to STOP YOUR DOG FROM DEFECATING IN HIS/HER BED (with the correct crate size and even with bringing them out regularly). My 9 month old female shihtzu who will go into her crate and pee/poop on her bed even though I'm home and she's been let outside multiple times throughout the day. She will do the same through the night even though I get up TWICE through the night to let her out (or whenever she whines and wakes me up). She was sleeping in my bed with me and my 2 other shihtzus until 6 months old when she started defecating in MY bed. One time, she came up from under the covers, turned, looked right at me and crapped! It's HORRIBLE. I've had many dogs over my lifetime but I have never had any issues like this. All my dogs were house trained well and in reasonable time (by the time they were 10-12 weeks old). But this one will soil her bed and LAY IN IT. I had her in a small cat carrier for weeks with no bedding and no pee pad.....and she was soaked in her own urine and/or covered in crap many times. No health issues.....she can hold it and/or goes outside the majority of the time but then she'll just start messing in the house and in her bed for what seems like no rhyme or reason. WHY? AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, HOW DO WE STOP THEM FROM THIS BEHAVIOR?

I bought this for my dog who constantly licks her paws. Thinking it would deter her from licking, but she seems to like the taste so she just licks it off. Not sure how well it works since she just licks it off. Maybe it calms her since she's ingesting it.

My dog pulled the nail off completely to bone. We took to vet.. got pain meds and antibiotics for infection. It’s been almost two weeks. Still raw. Tried the cone to protect from licking. However he has allergies and the cone is causing him to scratch at ears .. due to the hot weather and cone combo causing irritation. She advised not to wrap so he is reopening any healing by striking the edges of cone. Stopped using cone and went to light bandage to allow air flow. However he like to pull off. It often gets licked before we catch it… then comes the spot bleeding. Swelling seems to be down and he’s limping less. It gets rebadged .. it seems 6 times a day. I made the mistake of just pouring some peroxide in the last two days instead of bathing in Epson salts and water. I won’t now as you mentioned it’s not good. I also was using polysporin. After further research I am realizing that’s not necessary good either. So stopped that. Even with all the latest mistakes made. I feel this injury should be doing better. Any suggestions? 🌸

Good information... How to use it

I used human scalp Salicylic Acid. I rubbed into the flaky and scabby area and left it for half an hour. Then washed him, and all the flakes came off. I gave him a good brush and released all loose skin flakes. I then put some SA in his shampoo and washed him again the following week, the scabs were clear and his skin was great. He completely stopped itching the area.

Don't know if it's ok but because I make a lot of broth at a time I freeze it in quart size zips in the freezer. I've found too many days in the fridge and the broth loses its' gel. After frozen and thawed the broth gels just fine.
